False Myth

Over time, we slowly bought into the idea that higher social status, more possessions, and unlimited consumption will put us on the road to happiness. This is nothing more than a marketing myth. Nothing could be further from the truth. Buying into this false myth cost us our freedom and robbed us of our time.

The free market economy can produce everything but happiness.

When we are happy, we have no need to buy anything.

Success and achievement are wonderful, but they can’t be the focal point of our lives; if they are, happiness will always be beyond our reach, especially as we grow older.

Living for something beyond ourselves is the clearest indication we are maturing spiritually.

To me true happiness is not something to be pursued. It is a bird that lands on our shoulder when our hearts are rightly attuned to he spiritual dimension of life.
