Thoughts Scribbled While Doing Other Things

The real question is not so much, “Is there life after life?” but, “Is there life during life?”

All life is a distraction…but from what?

Discontent and melancholy seem to be the cost of consciousness.

My mind strives for clear-thinking skepticism; my heart beats with religious romanticism.

Reality has no background music.

God is both wholly transcendent and profoundly immanent; that is, God is beyond all creation yet somehow mysteriously hidden within all creation.

My hunch is that God isn’t interested in theology.

Religion explains the unexplainable. Spirituality enters the mystery.

The sum of everything is nothing.

I resonate so completely with the experience that: “God is both wholly transcendent and profoundly immanent; that is, God is beyond all creation yet somehow mysteriously hidden within all creation.” Thank you for continuing to share your thoughts with us! I look forward to speaking when you return from this trip!
