Through These Eyes

The face of God is so vast it’s faceless from our limited perspective. The great 15th century German mystic Nicholas of Cusa said, “Every face you encounter in life is a face of the Faceless One.” We are all part of the infinite reality that is the face of God, each of us are like little bits of colored tile in the vast mosaic that is the Divine face, each of us a tiny part of the infinite reality that is the face of Christ. The stranger you pass on the street is the face of Christ, and through their eyes the Divine Presence is looking at us. Hopefully, our response to the eyes of the stranger is a tangible expression of love and care.
