Today my children (ages 2, 5, 6 and 13) and I all sat down and watched Poverty and Prayer. What an amazing film! With the exception of my 2 year old =), all of my other children watched the entire film and were impacted. Thank you for creating such an important film. We will have many good discussions on poverty and how we can help.

Hello Gerry… My name is Wayne Burke, I live in Murray River, PEI, Canada, and I’m a retired member of The Royal Canadian Mounted Police… Your book, “Hidden In The Rubble” is being loaned to me this weekend by one of our Franciscans, which I began to journey with a few months ago…

I’m sincerely looking forward to reading your book, as my son Robert and I are leaving for Haiti on March 14th… We’re going on a 2 week Mission and will be working with my former RCMP Troop Counsellor from my training days back in 1978, Bob Davission, and his organization, “Lifeline Haiti”… See wwwlifelinehaiti.com if you’re interested…

I anticipate that the trip will be quite a culture shock for my 17 year old son Robert, who is also a devout Christian… Anyway, at this point, I thought I’d just drop a line to touch base and say hello… We’ll be based out of the Jacmel and Chabin areas of Haiti, and will be travelling to many of Lifeline Haiti’s 56 schools… God Bless…

    Wayne…

Hi Gerry…Second time I am reading Sun and Moon as we will be in Assisi later in March for the first time. Your book has inspired me so much, thank you! A dear Msgr friend of mine gifted me with your book a few years ago. He visited Assisi at least twice a year and wanted to die there. We are so excited and your book will be a wonderful guide for us.

Any good films on St. Francis that you could recommend prior to our trip?

Good luck and God keep blessing you on your interesting journeys.

    Vee

I am the Regional Minister of the SFO Queen of Peace Region (Minnesota, Iowa, North Dakota, South Dakota, Nebraska and part of Wisconsin). We hold a meeting of all fraternity ministers annually. I would like approximately 50 of you brochures so I may distribute them at our meeting on June 3. Thank You. Peace.

    Jerry,
I just returned from a St. Joe’s reunion in NYC. The 50th for my class of ’61. Bill Mulcahey was a classmate and suggested that I contact you. I teach at Notre Dame in Sherman Oaks. I grew up in Brooklyn, went to St. John’s Prep for my freshman year and then transferred to St. Joe’s. I actually walk and ride my bike thru Burbank often. Hope to get to meet you soon.

I have been incredibly moved by “When Did I See You Hungry?” and been using it recently as a daily meditation to point my toes in the right direction each morning. My mission is and has always been one of Social Justice. As I’m exploring your site for the first time today, I’m compelled to write… I am a photographer and love my pro bono work (on many fronts). I happen to be heading to Nicaragua for the first time for the week of Dec. 17-23 and it feels very serendipitous that as I’m discovering your work, your current project is there. I’m hoping there might be some way I can contribute to your mission during my trip. Please let me know… or put me in touch with others who might be able to use my big heart and artistic talent to serve…

Thank you for vulnerably filleting your heart and soul so that others (including myself) might be moved to do our part in creating the change this world so desperately needs!

    Ginger

    Dear Mr. Straub,

I’ve had the pleasure of corresponding with actors and crew connected with Capitol. I have a few questions regarding your experience on the show. I’d really enjoy hearing from you.

    Sincerely,
    Mike Poirier

    Dear Mr. Straub,
I am a Religion teacher here in St. Augustine. Each Lenten Season I show “Endless Exodus” to my students.
They are always moved to tears when watching the little Moses story.
Can you give us an update on Moses’ situation?
    Thank you.
    God’s Blessings,
    Diane Heiser

Please ;change the date of when Gerry Straub is speaking at Church of the Assumption, 20 East Ave, Fairport, NY 14450 to Monday, March 26, 2012 not March 25. (the Gerry Straub website calendar needs that correction).

He is speaking at 7pm and we are so glad to have him come all this way!
